Suzu means bell in Japanese. A fluted ceramic shade hangs from a slim brass arm that pivots up, down and sideways, so the light goes where you want it: onto a book, a bedside table or softly up the wall. The arm is anchored by a round ceramic backplate with a fine fluted rim, a quiet detail that ties the whole piece together.

How to Choose Your Size

• Bedside: Mount the backplate around 110 to 130 cm from the floor so the shade sits just above the pillow line, then swing the arm over the bed to read.
• Hallways and mirrors: Pair two at the same height, 1.5 to 2 m apart, for an even wash of light.
• Desks and reading corners: Mount around 140 cm and angle the shade down onto the work surface.
